7 Company

 

Number 7 Company is known as a public duties incremental company and consists of 5 officers and 70 other ranks.

It is based in Wellington Barracks next to Regimental Headquarters and the Band, and its primary role is ceremonial; guarding Royal Palaces, providing State ceremonial on State occasions, such as the King’s Birthday Parade, better known as 'Trooping the Colour'.

Generally, soldiers spend 3-9 months in Number 7 Company, following their Combat Infantryman’s Course at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick, and before being posted to the 1st Battalion.

The Company maintains its military skills, with regular training exercises outside London, and overseas adventure training.
